Our team has experience of Asian markets and are based in Hong Kong and Singapore.

Richard Clayton, Chief Executive Officer, NexAssure Group
Richard is a British National, he has been working in the Special Risk and Warranty market for over 30 years and is a graduate of Aon Business Management program. His career has seen him in various executive management positions from the UK to Dallas heading Warrantech’s Latin American warranty business in Peru, Brazil, Argentina, Puerto Rico and Mexico. He was part of the original management team that re-branded Policy Administration Services into Lifestyle Services Group, which is now Assurant Europe. In his previous role as Chief Business Development Officer AmTrust International he managed the business development teams throughout Europe and East into SE Asia, he was instrumental in AmTrust growth in the mobile phone insurance market.

Anthony Hobrow, Chairman, NexAssure Group
Tony is a British national, born in Scotland. He studied at University at Bristol and worked as Chartered Accountant at PWC. He joined the insurance industry in 1983 with 9 years as Group Operations Director for English & American Group. He went on to start Whittington Group in 1993 where he served as Group Chief Executive Officer for 18 years. He moved the Group to Singapore in 2005. Tony was a founding member and CEO of Direct Asia, a pan-Asian direct motor insurer set up in 2010 and sold to Hiscox in 2014. Tony is CEO of Venturesone Asia, a private equity group. Tony is affiliated with the Institute of Chartered Accountants and volunteers with the Asia Venture Challenge.

Imtyaz Vakil, Group Chief Finance Officer, NexAssure Group
Imtyaz is a British national who studied at the University of Kent, and is a qualified Chartered Accountant with the ICAEW. He has over 20 years’ experience in the insurance Industry. Initial roles in the insurance industry include AON servicing Lloyds of London syndicates and corporate members. He worked for the Whittington Group as a Group Finance Officer, and in Asia as the Chief Finance Officer for DirectAsia. He transitioned back to London to Hiscox PLC who acquired the Direct Asia Group. More recent roles have focused on start-ups in the insuretech field.
